What a fun episode this week with Mandee and Katie! We have a lot of fashion complaints between overalls at football games and shorts with Juicy across the tailfeather. We get a legal view of the Murdaugh mess going on over in South Carolina and all of Katie’s suggestions for returning College Gameday to its former glory. This week in Mandee’s favorites we get some amazing tips for people to follow on the socials and shows to watch. We say Happy Birthday! To Will Caldwell and get an amazing idea for roasting tomatoes. Join us next week for Katie’s favorite new things and another great baseball profile (although Acuna is going to be hard to top).
Slow roasted tomatoes:
Take that almost dead pint of cherry tomatoes and throw them on a sheet pan. Drizzle them with a “good bit” (how southern am I?) of olive oil - you don’t have to cover the tops of them but you want a solid layer of oil over them. Sprinkle them with dried oregano or basil or Italian seasoning and throw a couple of garlic cloves on the pan if you have them - don’t even have to peel them!
Put them in a 250 degree oven and forget about them. Which will be hard because it will smell so good. But leave them for a few hours. Once they’re wrinkly looking, take them out and pour them into your favorite little jar you have lying around oil and all. Add additional oil as needed to make sure they are covered and then keep them in the fridge - they’ll last for months as long as they’re covered!
